Azfar Malik
Chief Executive Officer and Chief Medical Officer of CenterPointe Hospital (CPH).
Qualification: MD, MBA, FAPA
Dr. Malik is Board Certified in Neurology and Psychiatry, Addictive Psychiatry, and Geriatric Psychiatry. He is a member of the American Medical Association, American Psychiatric Association, Eastern Missouri Psychiatric Association, and other professional memberships. Dr. Malik is also Chairman of the Board for Psych Care Consultants (PCC), the largest psychiatric group in the St. Louis area. He is also the Principal Investigator and CEO of Psych Care Research. PCC is comprised of 26 physicians, 3 nurse practitioners, and 24 therapists, providing outpatient psychiatric care to children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients. CenterPointe Hospital and Psych Care Consultants maintain an effective collaborative relationship to provide a comprehensive system of behavioral health care services to serve the behavioral health needs of consumers in the St. Louis area. Between the two entities, CPH and PCC provide easy access to individuals in need of behavioral health services at 10 sites in four Missouri Counties.
Susan Mathis
Chief Operating Officer and Chief Nurse Executive at CenterPointe Hospital.
Qualification: RN and MSN
Susan came to CenterPointe Hospital from a large health care system in St. Louis and has 20 years of administrative experience directing operations at all levels of behavioral health services. Susan has also had significant experience working in the Managed Care Industry. Susan is a member of the American College of Health Care Executives and the Missouri Organization of Nurse Leaders. She is also an adjunct faculty member of Barnes/ Jewish College of Nursing.
Christopher Lhotak
Position: Director of Performance Improvement/Risk Management at CenterPointe Hospital.
Qualification: MA
Chris has 10 years experience working in Community Mental Health Programs. Chris assisted management with the privatization of the St. Louis area community mental health centers in 1997. Chris was a quality improvement specialist who assisted with the integration of three community mental health centers in the St. Louis area to form one effective and efficient Behavioral Health System. Chris facilitated work groups to merge policies, procedures, and committees across three communities mental health centers to form an integrated infrastructure across the new organization.
Jean Campbell
Position: Vice President of Marketing at CenterPointe Hospital .
Qualification: MA
Jean has more than 30 years experience in behavioral health care administration, management and marketing. Prior to joining CenterPointe, she served as vice president of behavioral health services and also vice president of marketing for a major St. Louis health care provider. Jean provides expertise in assessing market needs as well as planning, implementing and evaluating marketing/public relations strategies, and managing the Hospital’s professional training and community education component.
Jan Mullenix
Position: The Director of Human Resources at CenterPointe Hospital.
Qualification: MS
Jan has 14 years of experience in Human Resources. Prior to joining the organization, Jan directed the HR Department at an acute care facility in the public sector in Des Moines, Iowa. Jan brought a wealth of experience and expertise to CenterPointe Hospital.
Karen Kasten
Position: Director of Clinical Services at CenterPointe Hospital.
Qualification: MSW, LCSW
Karen has 13 years of experience managing social service, intake, and utilization review departments in behavior health systems.
Vito Bono
Position: Director of Assessment and Referral (Intake Admission) at CenterPointe Hospital. Qualification: MSW, LCSW
Vito has 25 years of experience in the mental health field. Vito has directed inpatient and outpatient programs and Intake Departments at large behavioral health providers.
Sandra Blue
Position: Director of Nursing at CenterPointe Hospital .
Qualification: RN, BS
Sandy has 25 years of experience in the nursing management of Behavioral Health Care Services. Sandy has previously been a Nurse Manager of both inpatient and outpatient Behavioral Health Services at large behavioral health providers.
Tariq Malik

Tariq has significant experience and expertise in finance including start-up, acquisition and merger operations.
Irshad Khan
Position: Managed Care Contract Consultant
Irshad has over 16 years of experience in the overall operations of outpatient office practice including management and marketing functions, provider contracting and managed care / insurance company negotiations. He currently is the Director of Business Development at Psych Care Consultants. the largest psychiatric group practice consisting of 10 offices and over fifty providers in the St. Louis metropolitan area.

Daanish brings years of experience in the fields of law, politics, and journalism to CenterPointe. He is a graduate of Washington University in St. Louis' school of Law. His strong belief in behavioral healthcare brought him to the hospital.
Michael Solom
Position: Information Technology Manger
Michael has significant experience working in the Healthcare IT field. Prior to joinging our organization, Michael managed IT operations for a healthcare and technology services group. Michael is also serving as Project Manager for our Electronic Medical Records (EMR) implementation.
