Unique
CenterPointe Hospital is the only locally owned and managed private psychiatric facility in the St. Louis Metropolitan Area. Situated on 26 acres of rolling hillside, the environment is tranquil and conducive to reflection and healing. Because CenterPointe focuses exclusively on behavioral health, our staff provides an understanding and respectful attitude toward patients and family members, reducing the stigma so often associated with psychiatric treatment.
Focus
The competition for resources that often exists in a full-service medical center is not present at CenterPointe where all resources are dedicated solely to behavioral health care-the hospital's singular focus. Most importantly, physician ownership, involvement and oversight of the design and implementation of all services ensures the highest quality treatment.
Growth
CenterPointe has an unusual opportunity for growth due to the downsizing of psychiatric hospital programs and the closing of many state-funded services, which have left notable service gaps. Physician leadership guarantees continued program expansion and the ability to move forward rapidly. CenterPointe opinioned an adult acute care program just eight weeks after the new owners acquired the hospital. Within the first year, the Hospital opened partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs. Within our second year, CenterPointe expanded its continuum of care to include adult residential chemical dependency treatment. Five outpatient centers are in the planning stages, with the first opened September 16, 2003 in Washington , Missouri .
Extended coverage
CenterPointe has name recognition and a loyal referral base in southeast and central Missouri and southern Illinois . Mobile assessors, transportation and community liaisons are available in these locations. A solid referral base is growing in the metro area as community liaisons, media attention, physicians, employees and management showcase the hospital. Currently, referrals are spread at approximately 50% between the metro area and the out-state/Illinois areas.
Insurance
CenterPointe has contracts with all primary managed care organizations, employee assistance programs and is a Medicaid, Medicare and Illinois Public Aid provider.
Service
CenterPointe operates assessment and referral services and a 24-hour toll-free number so that every call for help is answered immediately. Customer service training is an integral component of all disciplines and a service liaison position provides all necessary information to families and referral sources. |
