NEW! Virtual Outpatient Therapy Services

CenterPointe Hospital’s outpatient clinics have expanded their capacity to provide virtual outpatient behavioral health therapy at three convenient locations in the Greater St. Louis/St. Charles Metro Area – St. Louis West County, St. Louis South County and St. Charles.

Virtual outpatient therapy provides mental health and substance use counseling that you can receive from the comfort of your own home in front of your PC, smartphone or tablet.

Virtual outpatient therapy is equivalent to face-to-face therapies in terms of effectiveness, with the added convenience of a private space, no commute miles and at no extra cost. Most private insurance is accepted.

In addition to the program's accessible, easy-to-use video conferencing platform, our virtual systems comply with federal and state health care privacy and security regulations, and are supervised by a team of licensed, experienced professionals.

Call us today at 1-800-345-5407 to talk with our caring and compassionate phone counselors about CenterPointe’s virtual outpatient program and other services. An initial assessment to determine the appropriate level of care can be conducted at no cost.

Outpatient psychiatric and dual diagnosis (both substance use and mental health issues) treatment is provided through full-day partial hospitalization programs and half-day intensive outpatient programs in the St. Louis area, and is designed for patients who are experiencing moderately severe symptoms that do not require inpatient hospitalization.Patients appropriate for these outpatient levels of care demonstrate reliable medication compliance, the ability to maintain home, work or school commitments and have support form their home and other social environments.

Patients who do not require the structure of 24-hour care may be admitted to an outpatient program as their point of entry for treatment or as a progression to a less restrictive level of care following a stay on the Residential Unit for Addictions.

Outpatient levels of care include a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP).

Medication-assisted detoxification and recovery for addiction to opioids (heroin and prescription pain medications) is available at the discretion of the program medical director.

My doctor and therapist at CenterPointe Hospital helped me develop the tools I needed to deal with my overwhelming anxiety. I had been missing out on so much of my life, but now I feel confident and I’m participating in life again.
